Terms of Use
Effective October 17, 2026
These terms apply to the Fareline iPhone app and fareline.app (together, “Fareline”). By using Fareline you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Fareline.
What Fareline is
Fareline helps you compare ride options and then opens the ride service you choose. Fareline does not provide transportation, does not book rides, does not employ or dispatch drivers, and does not process payments. Your ride is a matter between you and the service you choose, under that service’s own terms.
Fare estimates
Prices shown in Fareline are estimates. They are calculated from your route, traffic, typical pricing for each service in your city and regulated taxi rates. They are not quotes or offers from any ride service, and they may differ from the actual price, which can change with demand (“surge”), promotions, tolls, fees, taxes, your account or other factors. Pickup times shown are typical waits, not live driver arrival times. Always confirm the price and details in the provider’s app before you request a ride.
Other services
Fareline links to apps and websites operated by others, such as Uber, Lyft and Hopp. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, pricing or conduct. Fareline is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any ride service. Their names, logos and vehicle designs belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify their services.
Your account
You may use Fareline without an account. If you create one, keep your password secure and give accurate information. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse Fareline: don’t interfere with it, try to access it in unauthorized ways, scrape or copy it in bulk, or use it for anything unlawful.
Our content
Fareline’s design, text, graphics and software belong to Fareline or its licensors. Third-party content, such as map data and vehicle model renders, is used under its own licence and credited in the app.
Disclaimers
Fareline is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about its accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose, including the accuracy of fare estimates, maps, routes or service availability.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Fareline is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your use of a ride service, a difference between an estimate and an actual fare, or reliance on information in Fareline. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
Changes and ending
We may update Fareline or these terms. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know in the app or on this page. You can stop using Fareline at any time, and we may suspend access for misuse.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
